Saifa

Saifa (December 5, 2015)
It is quite important that the Double Punch of Saifa should be done by Hiraken (= lion paw fists, leopard fists), not Seiken or ordinary fists.

Okinawa karate for peace

Excellent video. Although this video is for sightseeing promotion of Okinawa, but you may understand why most of Okinawan karate masters do not practice free sparring and the ultimate goal of karate practice is for peace, not fighting.

Master Akihito Yagi, the grand son of Master Meitoku Yagi

I was moved to see this video clip. Akihito Yagi Sensei is great!

In the video, he said as follows:

"Karate is an art of self defence. You can defend yourself or your
fellows. We practice karate so that we do not attack first and we
should always be humble to everyone. Through physical training of
karate, we can obtain such a mental power."

"My father and grand father are karate masters. I was born in
such a home. When I became three years old, my birthday
present was a karate-gi (= a karate uniform). I was happy to
play punching wearing it."

"My grand father, Meitoku Yagi, passed away at the age
of 92. One year before it, he performed karate when
he was 91 years old for the last time. He had been
hospitalized at that time, but when there was an karate
assembly, he wore karate-gi (= a karate uniform) and
performed karate. I was moved to see him and almost cried."

"It is true that karate became popular after karate became
one of competitive sports. However, nowadays karate
enthusiasts overseas think our  traditional Okinawan
karate is more valuable and important than sport karate
after they studied the roots of karate. They realized
Kata of traditional karate is most important. Many
karate players who participate in competitive sport
tournaments are returning to our traditional Okinawan
karate."

BEAT HARBOUR: Open Air Psy Trance Party in Osaka

What a wonderful month! On 19th April 2015, another free psychedelic
trance party named Beat Harbourwas held in the same place, Nanko
Sankaku Koen park, Osaka. After I ate tacorice and drank a glass of
sangria, I danced under the huge bridge. At the party I became friends
with Mr. Kei who offered me two glasses of excellent Japanese Sake
(= rice wine).

Suparinpe after stroke

The symptoms of my brain attack were very mild. So no one knows I have cerebral infarction if I dont tell of it. Maybe Buddhas helped me. To express my gratitude to Buddhas, I performed Suparinpe in front of the temple where Thirteen Stone Buddah Statues were on display.
The video taken on December 27, 2014 in Osaka, Japan.

Nearly one month after I left the hospital

I performed Sai, nearly one month after I left the hospital. My right hand and leg were paralyzed just a little bit as a result of the aftereffects of stroke or cerebral infarction, but I could perform it without difficulty
.
The video clip was taken on November 20, 2014 in Osaka, Japan.

Stroke or Cerebral Infarction

Hello, friends. Bad news ...

On 9th October, 2014, I had a stroke. I was taken to the hospital by
ambulance and cared for 10 days thereNow have already recovered.
I recovered quite rapidly although some small part of my left-sided
brain was dead. Thanks to the rehabilitation at hospital, I can walk
freely same as beforeI can also play all the Kata of karate and
kobudo. Every morning I practice karate so that I can live longer.
